What FINS is Thankful For

As Thanksgiving approaches, FINS wants to express our gratitude to our community for making the Summer of 2023 our best year yet and allowing us to continue growing and spreading the joy of swimming. Over the past year, we have enjoyed the privilege of teaching the essential skill of swimming to more kids than ever before, helping make the water a safe source of fun for our families. FINS would not be able to develop such an important ability in our kids without the support of our great community, and for that we say thank you.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we would like to take a moment to highlight and give thanks for a few elements of our brand that we believe set us apart and allow us to give the highest possible quality swim lessons.

  1. Staff: The FINS staff are the greatest asset of our program. We are thankful for their commitment to ensuring every swim lesson is conducted to the highest quality and is tailored to the needs of each individual swimmer. Each instructor brings their own strengths, whether it be teaching advanced skills or helping our youngest swimmers, guaranteeing that there is always a coach that meets the individual needs of the child. Our staff's consistent care for each swimmer leads to strong bonds with their students, creating an environment and relationship conducive to learning.

  2. Pool Space: We could not ask for a better home for our lessons than the Old Natchez pool. From the shallow end to the diving well, the space is ideal for swimmers of all levels to continue honing their skills. Additionally, we have the privilege to begin our lessons at 8:30 am, creating an hour and a half window of available lessons before the pool opens to members at 10:00 am.

  3. Afternoon Lessons: Starting this July, FINS is thankful to have added afternoon lesson options. Offered Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:30-6:00 pm, afternoon lessons are a great opportunity for our kids enrolled in other day programs to take advantage of lessons.

  4. Backyard Lessons: FINS is proud to be able to offer private lessons to families in the area with backyard pools. We welcome the opportunity to travel to any home in a 10 mile radius of Old Natchez and provide the same high quality service to your kids in a familiar environment.

  5. August Lessons: We are incredibly grateful this year to have been able to extend the available lesson period and continue teaching into the first two weeks of August. Not only do August lessons allow our families to continue working up to the start of the school year, but they also provide the perfect overflow zone for rescheduling previous lessons that may have been interrupted due to weather or other uncontrollable factors. Maximizing flexibility and giving our families as many options as possible will always be a top priority at FINS, so we were super excited for this opportunity.

Happy Thanksgiving from FINS!
